Kennettworld

Great morning at church yesterday. Mike "just" encouraged us at church to think about Nahum 1: 7 "The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him".

A simple verse, and yet as we corporately began to silently meditate on these 4 phrases, I felt - as I think many did - an awesome moment of thankfulness. The whole service, both in adult church and Discoverers, seems to have incorporated an Attitude of Gratitude. The sermon got abandoned, as we just enjoyed fellowshipping with one another - really lovely.

Had a super pizza lunch with some freinds, and it was good to unwind for a few hours.

Spent quite a while in the evening helping Andy with his UCAS application. Apparently, the fact that he had OK'd his forms and Personal Statement ( which seem to be as vital as a CV!) with his teacher, but had not shown it to us as his parents, had slipped past him! All fixed now, with a little help from John (on the data content) and myself (on the spelling, syntax and grammar!)

Hardly seems possible that Andy has made it this far. Having Asperger's sundrome, we were told that things would be very differnt for him in particular. It really is a triumph of God's grace that he has got this far academically, so we shouldn't be annoyed by something that just proves that God can make ways where there seem to be no ways.

Pat's thought for the Day:
Gratitude should be like underwear - you need something fresh every day!
Don't allow circumstances to rob you of a new opportunity to see God at work in yor life, and in the life of those you love.

Mad, crazy day!

From checking out the price of a new garden gate, to my first client not turning up, so trying to kill two and a half hours unexpected free time - boring - to getting home to arrange a quote from a window cleaner, as our old one vanished from the face of the earth, and our house has 21 windows...!

I'm now sitting here trying to get motivated to finish off my sermon for tomorrow. Wondering how God manages to keep track of all of us; but He does. And he also plans each detail minutely.

Amazing.

I just wish He could send me an angel to figure out how to save my profile...!!

Bye

Hiyah All!

Thought it was about time the Kennetts joined this crazy set-up, as I keep reading all your blogs and don't know how to respond!

Hopefully we will get some pics here and some news flashes, but for now, let's start small and build up

Love to you all
